That was a funny story about the scarf! I'll try to think of a personal knitting story of my own and send it in if I come up with something. Thanks for another entertaining podcast!

I just love your podcast. You really make me laugh. I'm a fairly new knitter and haven't attempted any sort of colorwork yet, but I really do like the Selbu hat, so just maybe...

Thanks for the review. It's helpful to know what others think about a product before I invest in it.

The shetland wool sounds wonderful. I would love to win some!

I just listened to the latest episode, and I agree with your assessment of the Shetland Spindrift yarn. I just received my very first order today, as a matter of fact! Now I want to order more so I can make that hat too!

It was great to hear from you again. The sweater for your daughter is absolutely ADORABLE! My daughter (also 3 years old) is VERY picky about what she wears, but I'm going to show her your pictures in hopes that she will want to wear that sweater too!

Another fantastic episode! One of my "fearless knitting" goals for 2009 is to try color work. Your podcast really inspired me. I want to try the Endpaper Mitts.

Alana! This episode was great! You've definitely made me want to visit the Shetland Isles... or at least order some of that Shetland wool (which I'm sure my hubby would like more)! Keep up the great work!

Great episode! I've never tried color work but am inspired after seeing THAT hat.

Since you have a young daughter too, I'd love to get your feedback on my etsy store:

I'm so happy I "stumbled upon" you at the shop. You are officially my knitting guru now ;) I love your taste in projects and colors! Thank you for the podcast, with its purls of wisdom, product reviews, and humor!! Great job!
p.s. I'm finishing up my entrelac scarf, and the Druid mittens look like the perfect, small but challenging (to say the least) next project.

Your projects are always so lovely, Alana. Your dad looks fantastic in The Dad Sweater and Ava looks adorable in everything. I haven't done much stranded knitting but I am going to give it a try with the amazing discount on yarn from your generous sponsor, Dancing Ewe.

Thanks for your yarn review. I've never knit with Spindrift, but after your review I would like to give it a try. I also too fell in love with Eunny's sweaters and the Selbu Modern hat. I only did color work once many years ago and have been itching to give it another try.
Thanks for the great podcast.

Thanks for another great episode. I'm not really a hat person either, but now I'm inspired to knit the Seibu Modern. It's gotten cold enough that a hat would be nice.

Your daughter and her sweater are too cute! And really, you wouldn't want to do all that work and only get a few months out of that sweater, would you? Your podcasts are great, and I'm ready to try some of that Spindrift yarn. Thanks for podcasting---I'm looking forward to your new schedule.

I think the colors you chose for your hat are so beautiful, I like them better than your favorite Ravelry Selbu. I never would have put those 2 colors together! Thanks for the hook-up with the Dancing Ewe! I think I will finally make those Endpaper Mitts!

Thanks for your latest podcast. You are by far my favorite knitting podcaster. I enjoyed your story on Shetland wool and though I have never knitted with more than one color, you have inspired me to give it a go.

Hello! This is the first ever knitting podcast I've ever listened to. I was looking at a friend's blog and saw a link to your page and got curious. I picked up my knitting project and began to listen. And now I'm hooked. Knitting and podcasts are a match made in heaven! I loved your fantasies of living in Scotland! The knitting story was hilarious! I had tears running down my cheeks! Probably because I am both a new knitter and an young mommy. Your song is great! I can't wait to play it for my husband. :)

Jen Smith said...

OK, I'm voting the Selbu hat the best non-sock use of sock yarn!

And on a side note, I now have the Song of the Cebu running through my head!

I'm working on a knitting story for you too. After 10 years of knitting, I have plenty. Just need to write them out.

I really enjoyed this podcast as it made me think about this yarn more. I know that on of my LYS has gotten a bunch of this yarn in, and now I have some history behind it. Thanks!

I really enjoyed listening to episode 12. Loved the scarf story--it made me laugh out loud. I knit that same scarf with that same yarn, so I could really relate. Your hat is beautiful, too. Thanks for making my day a little brighter!

I just listened to episode 12 while going for a walk--it's a gorgeous day, and there's nothing like pampering myself with the sights/sounds of nature while being entertained by an episode of one of my favorite podcasts. You have such a talent, and the scarf story in this episode was side-splittingly hilarious. Let's not discuss the way people were looking at me as I walked up the road, giggling to myself...

Melody said...

For the past two days of my knitting, I've sat and listened to all your podcasts back to back. Honestly I believe it's the best one I've listened to yet. I've never bored, your voice sounds "natural", there's an unrehearsed quality that I love, and the information and stories are relavent to knitting today. In short I LOVE IT ! And I'm so thankful that you are willing to do giveaways and give us all a chance to win something as awesome as yarn !

Congratulations on your new sponsor! Am enjoying the podcast, the stories, the product reviews, the encouragement! (Is your husband a musician?)

I'm really enjoying your podcasts. I appreciate the effort you put in to the sound effects to make each story enjoyable. I'd love to enter your draw for the yarn mentioned in this episode too!
