  15. Hi Alanna,

I was really glad to hear you feature Z Knits in your podcast. I really love her podcast, too!

I would love to try the Rowan Summer Tweed in the Toast colorway. I didn't even realize that cotton tweed yarn was out there. So cool!

Your Liesl sweater is lovely, I'm also fan of green.
The Rush color is my favorite.
The theme song makes me smile.
I find myself humming it when I knit
    sometimes.

  18. Your knitting is so inspiring! Your cardi is beautiful, and of course it's olive, not green! I love the Bronze!

  19. Great podcast, look forward to each episode. Been listening on an iTouch. LOVE the theme song. I share your obsession with green. I'll bite my knuckle and pick the blue color - powder. Really surprising to hear a sweater can be knit in two days. That's something worth trying.

    ReplyDelete
  20. There's nothing wrong with knitting a bunch of green sweaters--after all, you're not going to wear them all at once, right?

That said, I was really drawn to the green shades of the Rowan Summer Tweed...it's a toss-up between Sprig and Jardinier. Hmm...

    ReplyDelete
  21. I looked up at the screen at your Liesl while I was knitting the Flower Girl Bodice. It was good timing because I was wondering what I might do with the left over bamboo yarn...hmmm. Speaking of timing, nice work on the swatch story in ep. 16. I love your comic sense of timing on that one!

  22. Hi Alana,

  24. I love the Summer Tweed in Reed. And I agree, Rush is definitely not green. Not like Sprig is green. We all do such rationalizing!

  26. You have inspired me to knit with something other than wool or a wool blend! I have been so addicted to it for so long! With the warm weather on the way, the Rowan Summer Tweed seems like a great yarn to branch out with. Thanks for another wonderful podcast. I would love either the Mango or the Torrid.

I, too, have the Ysolda Teague pattern and coincidentally was looking at it before I listened to your podcast. Wow. I'm thinking of making it for springtime and imagining how it might look in that lovely colour Vanity in the Rowan Summer Tweed...hint, hint!
    ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Great work on your Liesl - you inspired me to finish mine, and it is now drying as I write this. I am now increasingly tempted to follow through on my desire for a Liesl for every season! I just went and stroked a skein of Summer Tweed in my LYS - it's such an interesting yarn with its subtle silk sheen and little nubbly bits. I like it in 'Butter Ball'.

  56. I have been following your blog for a while now, but this is my first podcast. Very enjoyable!

I normally resist looking at new yarns. Let's face it, the last thing I need is more new yarn in my stash, right? But you made me do it! I am officially in love with Sprig! Being addicted to green just makes us wonderful people, right? Since I never win drawings, I am now figuring out where I can scrape up some extra cash~ I must have a Sprig Liesl! Thanks a lot... ;o)

The rowan summer tweed looks like some beautiful yarn. I can't see all the colors for some reason, but 'Smolder' really pops out at me. I think 'Denim' sounds like a nice, go-with-anything color, though, too.
