I had to crack up with Barbara's story. I have two crocheted "Coming Home" ponchos that my late MIL made for me. I'm waiting for them to come back into style. Until then, they languish in my closet. :-(
Those mini shawls are in my queue too! The Traveling Woman, Multnomah, Forest Canopy are some great ones too and perfect with sock yarn! Great podcast...hugs
I love the Molly pattern, and really need a hat for myself for hockey season! I think I'll try it. I probably won't have it done until next hockey season, but I'll look mahvelous!!
I can't tell you how much I look forward to your podcast every week! I just discovered it about a month ago, and was disappointed when I caught up on the older episodes and had to start waiting for new ones! Keep 'em coming :)
Barbara's story is so timely for me. I was just telling a knitting friend that since I just completed my third ginormous hat, I should really try a poncho for myself before tackling a sweater! I guess I really need to become an expert in gauge swatches before I become an expert giant garment knitter.
I only recently discovered your podcast, and i have to say that i enjoy it greatly!! I love knitting, but still am not advanced enough to knit while doing other things, like say watching a movie.... this podcast is a great thing to listen to while knitting at the same time! I have been going through your list of previous episodes, and so far they are all very entertaining and informative!
Sitting here next to a sunny window in my workroom...having put aside quilting for knitting with Christmas on the way and a bunch of gifts that I intend to knit...listening to Episode 25 of your podcast. How excited I am to find you! I have been inspired to knit since forever but only just got completely into it this past year. The feel of good wool on the knitting needles, homemade socks, cozy yarn shops to visit, a stockpile of knitting needles and my own stash of yarn. And now this...Never Not Knitting podcasts! This is surely contentment. Your podcast and Barbara's story gave me a good chuckle! Thanks for all that you do for knitters like me :)

I can't wait to see photos of the new cardigan! Polar Morn is one of my favorite Malabrigo colorways.
Delightful podcast, as always. :-)
Love the podcast, as always.
Your knitting stories are inspiring.

I have a very similar bag story experience to the huge poncho! I still carry it around with me to knitting nights as a reminder to GAUGE! :)
Thanks for the podcast! I LOVE the Vine Yoke Cardigan, I may have to knit that! I'm going to pm Barbara with my own monstrosity, very funny story!

From Puerto Rico, thanks for your stories! :)
You've got me inspired to get back into knitting shawls! Can't wait to see the new sweater!
Your Gail is simply gorgeous, Alana! I am listening to the back episodes now, but had to come listen to the latest one first!
