I can't wait until your new Oak Grove mitten pattern comes out! It will be a perfect gift for my sister, plus I am already planning Christmas gifts for 2011 and this pattern will definitely be used for those gifts! And another great podcast, now that I can finally download it after a week plus of problems! Yay!

I'm so glad my husband turned me on to your podcast! Thank you, Alana, for reinforcing my wonderful habit. My husband sends a well-meaning eyeball-roll!

Wonderful patterns.
Happy New Year!

Oh, man, I am completely in love with the colorway you chose for the Oak Grove mitts, not to mention the design itself. I just got back to Hamburg from a trip back home to Washington, and it reminds me of all the forest there. *sigh/homesick* Think that might end up being a must-knit project for the spring. Thanks so much for this episode, it was great to hear from two fabulous designers again :-) Glad to hear you're feeling better as well.

My New Year's resolution was to do some Ravelry "queue busting" but after listening to this episode, find that my queue has increased with more ideas!

Yikes! It looks like your patterns may become my new addiction. Love the mitts.

I absolutely LOVE the colourway you chose for your mitts. They are so gorgeous and the giveaway you are offering is INSANE .... I almost feel like it's not even REAL. ...Pffft.

Somebody pinch me ???

On another note.. It is so inspiring how far you have come along in your knitting patterns and where you have gotten with your knitting journey.

Hi there Alana, I just wanted to say that I have recently discovered your podcast and LOVE IT! You have a great voice and are clearly a very talented designer. I too am a podcaster (iMake - www.imake.gg) but nowhere near as experienced or established as you! Anyway, keep up the good work. I intend to mention your podcast in my next show which will be out mid-Jan I hope.
Best regards
Martine

I love this weeks story about "Sleep Deprivation". I have 2 toddlers, that make sleeping a luxury that I do not always get.

Your comments about how a pattern does not always come out the way you envision it, reminds me of my knitting even when I am following a pattern.

Love the podcast. You are doing great work.

I've listened to every one of your podcasts, have purchased and made several of your patterns, and LOVE this Oak Grove pattern! Can't wait for it to come out. I have several skeins of Bugga in the Oak Timberworm colorway sitting ready to make these beautiful mitts (single-stranded or doubled, as the pattern may call for) that may be perfect for it, although it might be fun to try it out as a kit first. Thanks for the inspiration you give to so many.

Hannah's patterns and yarns are also awesome, I've been totally distracted from the day's chores...more enabling by Alana! I look forward to picking a pattern and knitting it up.

Dear Alana:
I have just started listening to your podcasts and have been "sleep deprived" by trying to catch up on old ones and clicking all over the web to follow all the great tips and designers that you mention. I am adding so much to my knitting knowledge from you. Also, I can't wait until I can get my husband to listening to your theme song. He can definitely relate

I like most of Hannah's patterns. I have the featherweight cardigan on my list to knit next.
love your new pattern.

There are three of Hannah's pattern that I really love - the Whisper Cardi, the Featherweight Cardi, and the Wispy Cardi. All three would be wonderful layering pieces in anyone's wardrobe.

I haven't knit any of her patterns yet, but I did enjoy her article and patterns in the Fall 2010 Knitscene, and the Carrot Cardi is definitely something I'd love to wear.

Another wonderful and inspiring podcast, thank you for all your work. And i LOVE the sleep deprivation story too - I'm 25 weeks pregnant with our first one and i haven't slept properly for the last 20 weeks so I know about sleep deprivation and crafts. So great to hear that i'm on the only one who just have to craft even though I can fall asleep standing up somedays.

I love Hannah Fettig's designs! I've knit her Featherweight Cardigan and I would definitely say that it is my most worn handknit sweater. I really enjoyed hearing her knitting story.

I have explained to my husband why I can't knit certain yarn in my stash. Helping him understand how I look at them and get inspired took quite a lot of work.

Trust me, sleep deprivation is training for when your children are teenagers. I was told many times, you can sleep when you are dead.

I look forward to meeting you in April in St Louis. You are coming aren't you? Please?!?!

Hope I'm not too late to enter the draw! (It's mid-morning 15 Jan in Melbourne, Australia).

Anyway, I just discovered Never Not Knitting podcast a few weeks ago and listened to ALL the back issues/broadcasts over the past week. Serious yarn-lust overload but lots of fun.
