Another great episode! I have been drooling over the thought of Sweet Georgia yarns for quite some time. plus that is a super cute sweater pattern Jane came up with.
ReplyDeleteLOL over knitting MacGyver story.
ReplyDeleteI was recently visiting my mom to help support her through her husband's lengthy hospitalization. I was doing a lot of repaire tasks around her house during the day and knitting while at the hospital and in the evenings.
One day I picked up a couple of tubes of caulking to fill up gaps and recaulk the tub but couldn't find anything to use to puncture the seal on the caulk once loaded on the caulking gun.
Then I spotted the socks I was working on on DOUBLE POINTED NEEDLES! That's right, the perfect skinny piece of steel to poke into the tube of caulk.
Finished the tub and got back to the socks, laughing the whole time.
This is the first time I've heard your podcast. I sat here laughing, recognizing many things about myself. I especially liked the pink funfur striped bodysuit, I think I'll have to design that for myself. I don't think I could make Georgia for myself, but I do know one or two people who might be knitworthy enough for it.

Another very entertaining episode. I loved the McGyver story - Jane is great storyteller. And just for the record, I don't think it's the least bit odd to take ones knitting into the bathroom. :)
ReplyDeleteanother great podcast. Loved the story and could totally see that happening to me.
ReplyDeleteaah such a lovely colour! :) I crashed my browser by opening up so many tabs of the sweet georgia shop that my computer failed to function :p but I've still got 1 open to remind me to do some more browsing.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the funfur bit too. I opened the link on the show notes before listening to the episode and was a little worried :p
That yarn is gorgeous! Love the blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm reassured to hear that someone else "collects" yarn. Now if there was an easy way to find that perfect project to fit that special yarn!
ReplyDeleteI do believe I collect yarn too. The colors, the feel...the beauty. Ahhhh
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yarn! Love your podcast!
ReplyDeleteNow I wonder if I'm in denial over my stash...and wow, that Sweet Georgia yarn would make a beautiful sweater!
ReplyDeleteAbby (Ravelry: abbstir)
I like the term 'yarn collector'!!
ReplyDeleteLOved the podcdast as usual and enjoyed Janes Bathroom Story!!
ReplyDeleteI'm heading ove to her Blog to take a look at her designs.. THanks
Penny
PS You almost had me with the Pink Fun Fur Bodysuit... Ha Ha !!!!!
I just found your blog and can I just say, I LOVE IT! Great podcast. I can totally sympathize with the "out of sight, out of mind" yarn that is also stashed on the top shelf of my closet and under my bed. You are not alone!
