Warmest best wishes, Alana! Thanks for another great podcast -- you've done so much for us all, and done it well! Enjoy the next stage in your life, with your new family member (coming soon)! We hope to hear you again. :)

Such a great episode. Loved hearing both you and Hannah together discussing the book and the creative process. Now, to watch the mailbox for my copy to arrive.

ReplyDeletei have really enjoyed listening to your podcast, even though i barely discovered it this year. it has been so fun to watch you go from the girl who works at the yarn shop to a well-known and loved designer with a wonderful book coming out.

ps you forgot what it was like to have a newborn because god gave women the gift of forgetting. likewise with the childbirth part. my baby's only 1 and i have apparently blocked all that part out. lol
Alana, you have delighted us with stories, and I am going to miss these podcasts. Enjoy your new little one,and I really do hope you will find the time and energy to come back to podcasts in the future.
ReplyDeletedarn it all if your ending commentary didn't make me cry :)
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs to you and the family! Babies are only small for a short while...do your best to enjoy as much of it as you can. :) I can't wait until I get a copy of the book!

I just finished listening to episode 60 (I was saving it so it would last a bit longer) and wanted to thank you for such a great podcast. It is one of my favorite podcasts - great content, great production quality, and I've enjoyed hearing the story of how knitting has transformed your life. I wish you and your family all the best with your new one, and hope someday you'll have the time to podcast again, because I will really miss it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, for Hannah, clearly her book about loose-gauge knitting should be called "Coarser Knits," right? ;-)

I know this comment is maybe too late to be relevant (i've not been a listener since the beginning, but have been listening to all of them in order and am almost caught up! :-) I bought the Coastal Knits book at Happy Knits in Portland and especially like the bookmark - a great take-along when shopping - I've made the rustling leaves beret and it reminds me too of the eucalyptus leaves in half-moon-bay where i spent some of my growing up years. the book was a good "read" - as well as great patterns!
