Because where there are cute tiny baby boy shoes..
There must be teeny, handknit, bright green socks to go with them.
These are knit from a Pigeonroof Studios sock yarn that I received at Stitches West this year.
The pattern was a heavily adapted basic sock pattern for babies. There are many free patterns like this available on Ravelry. What a perfect solution for small leftovers of sock yarn!
All that I am missing now are some baby feet...
Won't be long until those little feets show up!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your logic about the reason for the existence of the green socks. Of course! :)
You will hear the pitter patter of little boy feet very soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, so tiny! I knit a pair for my last daughter while I was pregnant and the whole time fretted they would be just way too small. It's so easy to forget just how itty bitty they are.
ReplyDeleteI just love baby socks - I knit them to give away as I've no small ones in my life now.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link, Alana. I'm planning to knit some socks for Alan.
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine all the kisses those little feet will be getting.
ReplyDeleteYou won't be missing those little feet for much longer! Love the socks Alana. Green socks...what a surprise!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBoth are very adorable!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking the same thing about it being perfect for yarn leftovers! They are so cute!
ReplyDeleteThe colour of these socks is gorgeous, I love the green. Very cute! I've just learnt how to knit on Dpn's and am so looking forward to being able to knit some little socks for Rose.
