A few weeks back my husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary.
Every year around this time we do a little family gift exchange, so I indulged in a few
quick and tiny little knit toys for the kids.
Meet Birdie and Bunny.
These toys were knit from the Chubby Chirps and Bunny Nuggets patterns by Rebecca Danger. Her toys are always so fun and quirky. I knit up one of her monster patterns for my daughter a few years back and have been following this designer's work ever since.
These patterns were so incredibly quick to make and would make an excellent last minute gift for any child.
My daughter has seemed to really enjoy them. And my son...
...finds them delicious.

How Sweet! I heard you talking about them on your podcast. What a lovely tradition.
Alana, your blog layout is so refreshing. I love to see your big and beautiful pictures. I too love your family gift tradition.
Ha ha! Funny!
So cute!
I love Rebecca Danger, too - your little ones are pretty adorable, too. (kids and the critters!)

"There is nothing yummier than a cute knitted toy your mommy made!" -Guinevere (my youngest, d.o.b. 13 Nov 11)

so so sweet.
:O)
Love your show! The story of your son was great. The pictures are adorable. Happy 10th Anniversary. Thanks for the show. Love the story at the end from the knitter who commutes to work. Thanks for your podcast and beautiful patterns. I love "Coastal Knits".
Happy anniversary!! I am so excited that you are podcasting again. The kids are growing so fast, my goodness. I just listened to episode 61 and your "I heard you are knitting" story is an oh so familiar one to me, and I didn't realize that others go through the same thing. I have tons of my mother's unfinished projects, projects my sister bought for me that she "knew I'd enjoy", and friends deceased relatives things that they "just couldn't bear to throw away because they knew I could use them." uggghhh And I like you trying to be sweet and kind took the boxes, bags and bunches. This spring was the great purge, and it feels so good. Thankfully, no mice, just guilt, but still, off to the charity shops they went. (In another town of course. :)
Too cute!!!
Hi Alana, I just wanted to stop by and say how much I love your podcast. I only recently stumbled into the world of podcasts and have been thoroughly enjoying listening to you during the drive to work.
It's been lovely to follow your journey through coastal knits (and your pregnancy!) and there was a moment of absolute terror when I listened to the last episode before the book launch and thought your show had finished - possibly for good.
Thankfully I quickly found ep 1 of the new season on my ipod and all was right with the world again :)
I look forward to all your future podcasts.
Take care,
Christine
Witaj! Śliczne zabawki i cudne sweterki dla dzieci!!!! Serdecznie pozdrawiam
Loved the commuter story since I am a sock-knitting commuter too.
Loved listening to your story of trying to get photos of your son. I also have a young son and know how hard it can be.
I love that you showed the bitty toys from the back arm-in-wing, too!
