    I hate bobbles or popcorn be it knitting or crochet. I will omit them from any pattern I may be working on. I don't what is about them except I have detested them ever since I learned to knit as a young child. That is a beautiful skein of yarn.

    Hi Alana,

    Where I stand on bobbles - HATE THEM! I totally agree that it's a love/hate relationship. I knit your Cloudy Day pattern with Classic Elite Fresco and the fuzziness in the yarn would have made them not as prominent (which is exactly my problem with bobbles) but I still couldn't bring myself to make them. Instead, I knit 5-stitch nupps in place of the bobbles - beautiful, ever-so-slightly puffy purple nupps. Ahhh... :)

    I'm Wizzdumb on Ravelry. The Snow-capped yarn is lovely. I equate bobbles with thick crochet and macrame. But just a few bobbles in thinner yarn I think would be just fine.

    I've only ever done one project with bobbles, and I thought it was kind of fun. It was the Twisted Cowl from Malabrigo book 3. I think it looks nice in the cable pattern. Not sure how I would feel about them on a sweater though!

    I like to save up your podcasts until I have a few to listen to. Big mistake! I missed out on the awesome giveaway in episode 75! Have a great time in Alaska. Sounds amazing. I waffle between wanting to visit in the winter when I have a chance to see the Aurora Borealis and summer when I can have 24 hours of daylight. lol

    About bobbles, I think that I am that non existing middle group, I do not think anything particularly about bobbles, they can be cute in the right place. One of the first sweaters I saver started is a lovely thick vintage sweater with bobbles all over, I still used it and love it, If the bobbles are allover it won't look wearied.

    Great episode - your bobble mishap was hilarious! I'm not a bobble fan. I think they usually look silly, plus they're hard to knit. I would love to join you in Alaska, but sadly I don't think it'll happen this summer. Thanks for the chance to win this gorgeous yarn!

    Great Episode! And lovely yarn. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of bobbles, I think they often are used just because they can be, and are not used because they add to the garment.

    I have been to Alaska. It's beautiful. Be sure to get some quivit. It's super warm and soft but expensive so start saving now. I bought two skeins, knitted them up, and gave them away. Now I'm saving to buy a skein to knit for myself. Learn from my mistake!

    Hello Alana, this is the first time I have listened to your podcast, sat and did some christmas knitting whilst I listened, perfect! I like the look of bobbles (in the right places!)I have made myself a large shawl which is covered in bobbles, I must say every bobble row was a pain - they just take so long to knit! But if the pattern was beautiful it would never put me off, knitting is time consuming and that's ok by me. Take care, Rebecca
