Now I enjoy knitting a sophisticated sweater or an intricate lace shawl just like anyone else... but sometimes you just need to go for a project that is entirely abstract.
Knitted goat anyone?
I knit this little guy for my cousin's baby boy who is 2 years old and finds goats absolutely fascinating. They are his current favorite animal.
This little boy was also the recipient of this cabled sweater from a few years back and his parents were thrilled. I love giving knitted gifts to worthy and grateful recipients. :)
I am sending this little knitted goat off in the mail as a surprise.
It's not the real thing.. but hopefully he'll love it anyway.
Pattern found HERE for those of you who need a break from the traditional.
It is really cute! :)
ReplyDeleteAwe! So cute! :)
ReplyDeleteThe goat, the whole goat and nothing but the goat ;-)
ReplyDeleteGoat is adorable. And yes, a break from the usual is sometimes required. I'm making a topsy-turvy snowman/Christmas Tree for no particular reason other than it was something fun and different from my "usual".
ReplyDeleteToo cute, my granddaughter adores goats, too!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! Knitted animals are so fun, and as someone who has a little one also obsessed with goats at the moment, I get their appeal. :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! My daughter wants a goat, me not so much. LOL! This would be a great gift for her!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, I hope he loves it.
ReplyDeleteAwww that is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's nice to knit something a bit different... and why not when its that cute?
My granddaughter, who is obsessed with "baby goats", is going to be so happy on Christmas! I can't wait to knit this cute little Fester for her. :-) Thank you for sharing, this made my day!
ReplyDeleteAwww! I bet it would be super easy to modify that into a reindeer too!
