  4. I LOVE Malibrigo. It is the softest, squishiest yarn I've worked with. One of my favorite colorways is a rich, beautiful orange called Glazed Carrots!

  5. How funny is that?! Just yesterday I realised I was falling deep, deep into Malabrigo world... Contrary to what you have, it is not readily available here in central Europe, so I have to take what I can get! To try it out, I knit a Just Enough Ruffles scarf with Malabrigo Worsted recently and I LOVE it!!! All that softness, squishiness, lightness and warmth, siiiggghhh...... However, I was a bit disappointed that one skein wasn't really enough and I had to adjust the width to make it work... Still, even before listening to your podcast, I had decided to order enough for the Vine Yoke (yeah, I know!) and a couple more in a different colour for another JERuffles scarf ;))) Now the colour I'm dying to try is Applewood... Smitten.
Oh, and I look forward to your regular podcasts - I caught up on 20 of them over the Nantucket cardigan, gosh, that seemed to grow fast ;o!!!

  7. I love color Turner the most. I've only used the worsted once so far and have Turner waiting for socks. I'd love to have more to knit something else. This is one of my favorite yarns. The colors are luscious.

  8. I am pretty new to Malabrigo and have yet to purchase and knit with it. Every Friday Night at my LYS's knitting group, somebody has a WIP with it and I can't help but pet and caress it. I would love to try the Malabrigo Worsted in Jewel Blue.

I loved you knitting story on this episode. My first sweater was also the "Not Your Standard-issue Sweatshirt". (And it's still a UFO, oops)

  149. I just recently started listening to your podcast, and it is by far the best podcast I've listened to (and now it's the only one) :)
I've been itching to try some of this Malabrigo that I've heard to much about. Thanks for the chance to win a skein. :)

  150. This is the first podcast of you, that I have listened. I love to hear it. Thank you!

  151. I love your podcast! I have been listening since episode 1 and I enjoy it every time. :)
My favourite Malabrigo colour is Amoroso.

  152. Enjoyed the podcast as usual, how lovely that the Malabrigo sweater went to a deserving home. If I could win a skein I would love the Amoroso colour way.

  153. I really loved the story that you featured on the podcast. How great that after all those problems and frustration, she was able to do something so wonderful with her finished project. I have not done anything so selfless with malabrigo and have only made myself a pair of mittens with it. But I did love it so much that I considered making a pair of fingerless mitts with it out of sunset. What a great color and yarn.

  154. I just discovered your podcast a couple of months ago and I've really been enjoying it. I've also really liked reading your blog and looking at all of the beautiful things you knit. If I won a skein of Malabrigo, I'd love it in the color Polar Morn.

  155. As always, a great show! I've only knit Malabrigo sock yarn in Impressionist Blue, and it made amazing socks. I really wanted to keep them for myself, but my Mom admired them so much when they were on the needles that she'll be getting them for Hanukkah. I would love to try Malabrigo sock yarn in the Botticelli Red!

  156. I just found your podcast when you posted on the Malabrigo Junkies group on Ravelry. Wonderful stuff :-).

If I had to choose just one colour of malabrigo from Dancing Ewes selection (and I'm not sure it's right to make anyone choose just one colour) I think it would have to be Forest. Of course I will probably change my mind in the next few minutes here...but at least I have now posted my comment.

  157. Great podcast! I know how you feel about Ysolda patterns. I made an Ishbel and am itching to start a Damson when I have time...
Malabrigo is my fave yarn - my sister sent me 2 skeins of worsted to knit a scarf when I was a beginner, so I was hooked from the start! I would love a skein in Jewel Blue...

  181. I came upon your podcast while I was looking for quilting podcasts. Your show is such a professional production. I wonder how you are able to do so much. I have been faithful in listening to each podcast in order and not jumping ahead, which is difficult because I know that I am missing out on putting my name in the drawings, but I don’t want to miss a word. You are such a great storyteller and your product reviews are great. I live in Alaska and I am lucky to have a very small yarn shop (it is also an art gallery) in my town but you have opened up the world of knitting to me. I wasn’t aware of all the modern patterns that there are. Although I am a chunky middle aged mom I have a daughter and daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law to be that would look great in your creatations. I can now add to my gift giving options. I thougth I was stuck with bulky sweaters and socks! I can’t wait to try the Malabrio yarn in the Lettuce color. Please pick me or I will have to buy it myself. Thanks also for the product review on the knit picks needles. I have rheumatoid arthritis and in the Arthritis Today magazine it has suggested that knitters use circular or DP needles since it keeps your hands and shoulders closer to the body and less stress on the elbows, shoulders and hands. They also suggest using wooded needles to keep the hands warm. I have been doing this and it has been the difference between me knitting and having too much joint pain to knit. I will be purchasing a set of the interchangeable needles with the next pay check, call it Christmas present to self. I look forward to each episode and I will be buying your new green leave shawl pattern to make for myself. Denise
