On my last "Ravelympics" post, many of you guessed what kind of creature I was knitting up. Great guesses! Many of you thought I was making a chicken or an ostrich.. and one of you guessed that I was making a kiwi. :)
But only one of you (Christina) guessed correctly.
Its a...
Turkey!
And isn't he so funny and ugly-cute?! I love how fat he is.
We have a lot of Wild Turkeys around where we live.
They really are ugly things in real life, but fun to watch and listen to.
This "Francis Turkey" pattern is from the book
The Organic Cotton Kids Collection put out by Rowan yarns.
All the patterns in this collection are super adorable, and all use Rowan purelife organic cotton.
This book seriously has some of the cutest toy patterns I've seen.
If you like Francis you will love the other patterns too.
But more about Francis tomorrow.. its getting late and he's off to roost...

this turned out great (in a creepy sort of way)! :)
He's soo cute!
He is very Ugly cute LOL :-)
Oh how cute!!
Francis is just too darn cute! Great job! Love the colors you picked for him.
Those "knees" are a riot!!!
I know he is a cute turkey but since he is round I just wanna pick him up and toss him! =)
He's great! :D And so so ugly :D Great job finishing this so quickly :)
Cute!!
That turkey looks like he has a lot of character! You make such lovely toys - your little girl is very lucky! I imagine the 'kiwi' comment referred to the bird rather than the fruit... although knitted fruit would actually be kind of cool now I come to think about it.
he's the perfect balance between scraggly and cute! Hilarious;.
Well done on a Ravelympics FP! And yes, I like him too! It's a clever pattern, I like the use of icord for the legs and feet.
I think he's adorable!
Well, he's certainly plump, isn't he? :-)
Frances is adorable! So sweet and plump with his little skinny legs :)
Totally awesome! I think you've just inspired me to make one myself. My great grandparents used to own a turkey farm in Illinois and I have some great pictures of my mom and uncle hanging out with the ugly little creatures. I think I need one now!
Love it!! Such a cutie, and those little legs are just perfect.
Cute! Cute! Cute! :0)
I think he's ADORABLE! Not even a tiny bit ugly
He so ugly he's cute. I think his knees are his most unattractive feature. I think if he were more of a turkey colors, (red, black and white), he'd be creepy.

Great job!
Oh, he's not creepy, he's the cutest! I LOVE turkeys ... they're hilarious!
Alana, you just made a not so good looking animal look cute!
He's not creepy! I think he's adorable, especially in the pastel colors you've used. He's cute.
