I just like quick knits. It doesn't really matter what it is, I like it to be challenging and not too long term. I have made one shawlette (yours), and a shawl. I am currently knitting a sweater for my son, but I really prefer almost-instant gratification.

Lindsay Cogan said...

I have to say children's knits are usually where I am at... and is how I originally found your patterns.

My favorite thing to knit is...everything! My stash is mostly for sweaters, but I knit just about everything. I love making socks for gifts, especially. (BTW I've gotten more compliments on my Cedar Leaf Shawlette than anything else I wear!)

I'm a beginner, and so love to knit hats right now. But I've purchased your shawl collared cowl pattern and have several sweaters I'm looking forward to knitting, also!

I love your podcast, blog, and patterns!

Lovely lovely patterns!

I don't have a favorite thing to knit; I just love to knit. But shawls seem to be on my current hit parade.

You can find me on Ravelry as MicheleLB or email at pdxknitterati (at)comcast (dot) net.

Your trunk show is currently at Twisted in PDX, and I need to get there before it leaves! I met you in Janet Szabo's class last spring at TKGA.

Your new patterns are so lovely! I love the colors you chose. Lets see, my favorite thing to knit right now is sweaters. For a long time it was socks, but I seem to have moved on to sweaters, especially for women and children.

Seriously, your new pattern layouts are so amazing!

I love to knit socks the most, which is the complete opposite of what I would have said a year ago!

Oh, and I Twittered about this giveaway too!

I love knitting accessories but I'd honestly love to start knitting clothing, especially for myself. I'm in a wheelchair but I'm not old, so shawls and lap covers are not for me. Most every sweater I have is too long for one who sits all the time. I've seen awesome sweaters but couldn't purchase them for that very reason. I'd love to win your patterns! What a blessing that would be!

I'm pretty sure I can't choose a favorite thing to knit. Lately, I've knit lots of shawls, and simple hats, and I'm getting started on a sweater kick.

I would love to knit for my daughter more, but I've had a hard time finding patterns that go past a size 6. I will be starting Chloe for her soon and I so appreciate that you have a wide range of sizes in that pattern. I think there is a void in patterns for older children.

I've already bought many of your patterns, but I would love to have the complete set, especially in the new design! I knit everything - I particularly like quick projects like fingerless mitts or hats - but my favorite is to knit for my kids. When they were babies, it was easy to find wonderful patterns, but now that they're older (elementary school), it's more of a challenge! I would love it if you designed patterns for kids that are as wonderful as your patterns for babies and little kids.

So many comments, but I guess I'm in with a chance if I leave my own! Beautifully presented patterns - they look good enough to frame and put on the wall! My favourite things to knit are mostly accessories like hats and fingerless mitts, because I like to finish things. And bags. Sweaters are more occasional knits, as they take more time.

Socks are my favorite things to knit, but I never buy patterns for them. I love knitting scarves and shawls, but ditto, except your leafy thing. I do like sweater patterns though to save me the work of figuring all of it out.

My favorite thing to knit is a sweater for myself. I love to walk into my closet and select from things I've made for myself.

What great patterns! I like to knit chunky items because it's takes less time. I tend to knit more accessory items like scarves. :) Thanks so much!

Wow - those are the most stunning patterns I've ever seen! Great job!

My current favorite is simple knitted shawls although I'm loving your new shawl collar pattern!

Thanks for another great prize! My favourite things to knit are socks and sweaters (for adults or babies) with loads of cables and/or textures. I also love interesting construction techniques and yummy yarn (preferrably in something cashmere-y or tweedy) in a pretty colour.

Your new pattern layouts are great!

Right now I am still pretty hooked on knitting shawlettes.

I think my favourite thing to knit is neckwear, from scarves to shawls to COWLS! Probably cowls :)

Does it count if I say that my favorite thing to knit are things for myself? ;)

In all seriousness, I think I love shawls the most. They're meditative, soothing, challenging -- and then there's the glory of blocking them. Yes, definitely shawls!

Thank you for posting the giveaway! I hope I win, I adore your patterns!

Beautiful patterns. Me likey.

I love to knit anything, but especially cowls, mittens, children's things 'cos they're small, finish quickly and don't need a huge yarn investment.

Thanks!

I can't pick just one favorite but top four are blankets, sweaters, socks, and scarves. Wait that's all I've tried knitting.

Thank you for giving away these patterns. First, your knitting designs are wonderful. They are not so difficult that one can only dream of knitting them, yet they are not just a plain knit. The graphic design work on these is fantastic! Kudos to Jill and Michelle!
