Leaves of Gold

Just sharing a recent knitted sample of my Cedar Leaf Shawlette pattern in Malabrigo Silky Merino in the Sand colorway. The golden leaves are so very pretty.

This was expertly knit up for me by greentrianglegirl on Ravelry.. who also happens to be the host of

What a small world it is.. :)

Beautiful! I wear my Cedar Leaf a lot & always get compliments on it! Tons of people asked about it yesterday at the Madrona Fiber Arts festival near Seattle & as soon as I told them it was a design by one of the co-authors of Coastal Knits, I saw recognition dawn in every pair of eyes.

Just the other day I saw someone do this pattern, but there were little beads going up the "vein" of each leaf. I thought it was so stunning. It's such a lovely pattern.
