I would love one of those hat books. I am newly into knitting hats as I have 2 kids going to college back east, a nephew from so. cal who is a freshman at Valparaiso in Indiana, a nephew at U of Wisc, Milwaulkee, AND! a nephew from Arizona who is going to college in Omaha. None of these kids have good winter hats, and they all need them!

This book would be so useful in my current project, got a whole bunch of yarns and i'm trying to make all the beanies different without using the typical 2-tone patterns. Love to knit while listening to the podcast, i'm a fairly new listener but really enjoy it.

I am using the oak leaf motif that you utilized in your Gnarled Oak Cardigan in "Coastal Knits." You inspired me to make a scarf as a memorial to the Toomer Oaks of Auburn University. (An over-zealous Bama fan poisoned them!) I am knitting it in Madelinetosh Bulky in the "terra" colorway. (Auburn's colors are orange and blue.)
Thanks for another great episode, love it! I´d also love some new hat patterns - here we use hats until May, so you need a couple...
