I am newly into knitting hats as I have 2 kids going to college back east, a nephew from so. cal who is a freshman at Valparaiso in Indiana, a nephew at U of Wisc, Milwaulkee, AND! a nephew from Arizona who is going to college in Omaha. I am using the oak leaf motif that you utilized in your Gnarled Oak Cardigan in "Coastal Knits." You inspired me to make a scarf as a memorial to the Toomer Oaks of Auburn University.
