  3. Love your podcasts. I was listening to the book review when my husband stuck his head in and asks my why I am listening to funeral music in a rather concerned voice.

I can't wait to get that book and see your polka dot chicken:)

  7. I love your podcast! Thanks for doing it! I don't have any local knitting friends, so it's nice to be able to listen to someone discuss their knitting experiences. Also, I love red and your Something Red Sweater inspired me to order the BSA dyed organic cotton and make one for myself!

  11. Glad you found Donna's book. Her research is so interesting! Have you seen her cabled rug pattern? I think you can still find it free on line. Her April blog has a link to it, as well as the chart legend:

  13. Hey Alana,
I'm hopalogs MIL. She is a tad distracted at the moment, and only getting online at my house, so I wasn't sure if she saw she is a Winner. So I'm passing the message along to her...

  18. I think I'm addicted to your podcast. I downloaded all the other episodes in iTunes, loaded them on my iPod, and now I find myself happily ignoring the constant chatter of my four-year-old son because I'm listening to you!

  22. Your comment about the polyfill beads gave me a chuckle! It reminded me of the time my nephew (who is 2) got into a HUGE box of packing peanuts...let's just say I was finding them in the ODDEST places (behind the toilet? Under the stove?) for months!

  23. Loved the podcast, so sorry about the boring old chicken. Or is it a rooster? Why can't guys wear something a little new and different every once in a while? Sheesh. Well, enjoy your break! :-)

  24. I am a new listener to your podcast, and am currently downloading ALL the rest of them!
You have such a sweet,(easy to listen to) voice :)
My daughter & I have just started knitting our first sweater together, and I know the Ethnic Knitting Book would be a HUGE help. I have even doubled my challenge, because I am spining alpaca & mohair for mine...whew!
Thanks for such a great review! Looking sooooo forward to more Podcasts...Thanks!
