2 Year Blogiversary And The Best Giveaway Ever!

Two years ago today, I started Never Not Knitting. Little did I know back then what this blog would turn into or what fun it would bring to my life.

In honor of my two year "blogiversary" I would like to extend a thank you. Thank you to all of you who regularly visit me, who comment on my posts, who support my blog sponsors. It's been such a pleasure for me to meet so many fantastic knitters from all over the world.

Today I would like to give something back to my loyal readers and supporters. I have gotten in touch with some of my favorite online knitting vendors and friends to bring you the best giveaway this blog has ever offered. (And I've offered a lot of giveaways!)

In order to get to know my readers better, I would like to announce 2 new drawings!

DRAWING #1
All you have to do in order to enter drawing #1 is to leave a comment under this blog post. Please tell me in your comment how you found the Never Not Knitting blog and how long you've been a reader. That's it!

The prize for drawing #1 is going to be a compilation of NeverNotKnitting patterns, yarn, and other sweet treats!

DRAWING #2
I know that I have a lot of readers from all around the world. I would love to put some faces with the names. Entering drawing #2 is going to require a little more effort than drawing #1 but, believe me, it's worth it... the prize is going to be huge...huge...HUGE!

The prize for drawing #2 is going to be a box of goodies including designer knitting patterns, skeins of yarn, a gift certificate, buttons, a row counter, a tee-shirt, sweet treats, the entire Never Not Knitting pattern collection, and knitting notions bags.

All of these goodies will be provided for you by these amazing vendors and artists:

Tottoppers
Funky Carolina
Pretty Knitting Jewelry
RoseKnits
Dancing Ewe Yarns
Loops
One Planet Yarn and Fiber
Pulling at Strings
Tangled Yarns

This prize and contributor list may be added to as time goes on!!

What you need to do to enter drawing #2 is to email me a picture of yourself in your favorite knitting location. You'll need to be holding a sign that says "I am Never Not Knitting at" and then put where your favorite place to knit is (like the name of your local yarn shop, etc). Also put where you are from...State/Province and Country is great!
(See my picture above as an example.)

Email the picture to nevernotknitting@gmail.com and put in the subject line
"Blogiversary Picture Drawing Giveaway".

When the drawing is over, I will be compiling all of the photos into a large collage to be shared in a future blog post on NeverNotKnitting.com. It'll be so fun for me to see pictures of all of you!

RULES
You can enter both drawings #1 and #2, but only enter each drawing once.

Drawings both end at 11:59PM PST, December 15, 2009. I will randomly choose a blog comment for drawing #1 and an emailed picture for drawing #2 to determine the winners. I will announce the winners on the blog on December 16, 2009.

Thank you so much for sharing my knitting adventures with me over these past two years!
I hope that you will take the time to enter these drawings! It will be a lot of fun! :)

  1. Hiya! I love the blog and I love the podcast! Actually the podcast is how I found the blog in the first place. I think I was looking for knitting podcasts on itunes to try and I found yours and I love it. I'm picky about which knitting podcasts I like but I enjoy the different series you present each time and also the way you theme each podcast around usually a project you are working on, reviewing the yarn, the pattern and then helping us find a way to try the yarn out.
Anyways I love it and I love the blog too so I hope you keep it up for many more years!

  3. Hi Alana, I found your blog when I did a search in Ravelry for a knitting KAL and found your gorgeous Cedar Leaf Shawl. I quickly joined the group and waited patiently for your pattern for the shawlette. I guess that makes it about 2 weeks I have been reading and listening to your blog and podcast. My shawl btw is almost to the leaf stage.
    Thanks Lorri

  6. Hi Alana! I found and fell in love with your Haltermelon on Ravelry on 22 October this year, and quickly signed up to follow your blog at the same time. I knit for a little (20 month old) girl of my own and love all of your designs, stylish blog layout and gorgeous photos.
I finally cast on her Haltermelon last night, which I am making for her as a Xmas gift (perfect for a hot Aussie summer). I'm yet to switch on to the podcast revolution, but it is only a matter of time.

  8. Happy Blogiversary!! I found you through itunes when I was looking for knitting podcasts to listen to. I love the music that opens and closes your podcast and have started to sing along. This is not good when a)I have headphones on so no one knows what I'm singing to and b)I'm an awful singer! I love listening to you talk about knitting and about your personal stuff too because that makes you more real to me and not just a voice I'm hearing. I feel like I've known you for a long time.

  35. What fun! I found Never Not Knitting recently. A Raverly friend had made your Chloe pattern and I wanted to give it try. So, I bought your pattern from Ravelry, but I looked at your page first and I was enchanted by all of your projects and I love your favorite colors--all those Fall colors! I started listening to your podcast and I got hooked. I stayed up late, listened, knit and got caught up to the most recent episode very quickly. Because of you, I've tried Spud&Chloe and Rowan Calmer. I love your reviews. I'm way too inspired because of you and now, I'm about to start your Spring Garden Tee, but I'm making it a Christmas tee for my baby. Thanks for all of your hard work!

I found your blog a few months ago through a link from Tanis Fiber Arts. I loved the "flower girl" cardigan she knit from your pattern for the child's cardigan with the striped yoke. In fact I like the pattern so much I bought one from you in the hopes that someday I will be able to knit the sweater for a future grandchild. Your children's patterns are lovely but yet practical. Keep blogging and designing.

  104. I suppose I'd like to enter drawing #1 as there is no way I'm going to post a picture of myself anywhere on the net! :-))
I don't even remember how I found your blog but yours were the first podcasts I ever listened to (not just knitting podcasts, any podcasts) and they helped me so much! Finally I got to hear about how someone else started knitting and actually managed to become good. It gives me a great push to keep going even at times when I think knitting is more like a science then a hobby...
    So thank you so much!

  112. Hi and best of luck for your continued podcast and blog success. I found your blog through the podcast. I got a zune for Valentine's Day and searched for knitting podcasts, found yours and it's the only one I kept from the first podcasts I subscribed to. When I was listening I wanted to see what you were talking about and went to your blog. Now if I listen to the podcast while out, when I come home I go to the blog to see everything.

  113. I found the Never Not Knitting Podcast by searching for "knitting" on Itunes. I have listened to it for my entire knitting life. (1 year LOL) I uploaded all of the past podcasts to catch up as well. I anxiously await every new podcast and love the blog for the simplicity of looking through all of the mentioned sites and stores. I also have a toddler and this podcast and blog not only quench my thirst for knitting, but I love being able to relate to you as a mom, wife, and woman. I LOVE NEVER NOT KNITTING!

  125. Oh, WoW! Happy anniversary on your blog! I love it, you know!

Gosh, I've been a reader so long, that I forget how I did find you. Someone must have had one of your patterns on a blog, or on Ravelry, and when I saw it, I was smitten! I've been a reader, ever since.

  126. What a fun giveaway! This is especially fun because I found you so recently and am happy to tell you about it. I had posted on my blog an appreciation of the podcasts I love (http://morewithles.wordpress.com/2009/11/13/podcasts/). One of my readers suggested that I would also like your podcast. I discovered your show and then I found your amazing projects on Ravelry and on your blog. I already have plans to follow some of them myself (most notably, Rose Red). I am in the process of catching up on older episodes. It's very fun and it's giving me great new stuff to listen to while I walk my dog! :) Happy Blogiversary!

  138. Happy Blogiversary to you! My mom kept telling me how much she enjoyed knitting podcasts, and I couldn't imagine how helpful it could possibly be to listen to someone (who wasn't right there with her needles and yarn in front of you) talk about knitting. But I dutifully looked around for a few podcasts and found yours, about a year ago - of course, I found the blog along with it! For a little while, I was catching up on all your old episodes, which was wonderful! When I was all caught up I had to start waiting for the next one, which I always do eagerly. Thank you for the time and effort you put into this work - as a mother, a wife, a knitter, and a professional, I am deeply grateful for the model you set. Peace, Jennifer

I thought it was cute, as well as your daughter, and since I have a DD of my own, I started following your blog to see what else you come up with. And then you came out with the Chloe cardi, and it has the best name ever! (my DD's) I'll be doing your shawlette soon, for me, and am awaiting your next design.

I've started at podcast number 1 and am listening all the way through to get current. It's been hard for me not to cheat and look ahead at the blog posts that coincide with the podcasts.
