A Knitted... um... Goat

Now I enjoy knitting a sophisticated sweater or an intricate lace shawl just like anyone else... but sometimes you just need to go for a project that is entirely abstract.

Knitted goat anyone?

I knit this little guy for my cousin's baby boy who is 2 years old and finds goats absolutely fascinating. They are his current favorite animal.

This little boy was also the recipient of this cabled sweater from a few years back and his parents were thrilled. I love giving knitted gifts to worthy and grateful recipients. :)

I am sending this little knitted goat off in the mail as a surprise.

It's not the real thing.. but hopefully he'll love it anyway.

Pattern found HERE for those of you who need a break from the traditional.

The goat, the whole goat and nothing but the goat ;-)

Goat is adorable. And yes, a break from the usual is sometimes required. I'm making a topsy-turvy snowman/Christmas Tree for no particular reason other than it was something fun and different from my "usual".

I love it! Knitted animals are so fun, and as someone who has a little one also obsessed with goats at the moment, I get their appeal. :)

My granddaughter, who is obsessed with "baby goats", is going to be so happy on Christmas! I can't wait to knit this cute little Fester for her. :-) Thank you for sharing, this made my day!

Awww! I bet it would be super easy to modify that into a reindeer too!
