Last Chance For Sprig!

Hello friends. I am planning on releasing Botanical Knits 2 in e-book format and for pre-order in print in the next couple of weeks. Because of this, I will be taking down my Sprig sweater pattern on February 20th. Sprig will be included in the new book, but this is your last chance to purchase the pattern individually.

Remember that if you choose to purchase Botanical Knits 2 the entire cost of the Sprig pattern pdf will be applied to your purchase of the book. Please keep your Paypal receipt email containing your Transaction ID or Receipt No. code. Either of these codes will allow you to receive a $6 discount on your copy of Botanical Knits 2!

I am so pleased with the positive response that this sweater design has already received on Ravelry. There are already so many beautiful finished sweaters to look at. I love seeing the different color and yarn variations!

One of the first Sprig sweaters to pop up was this lovely gray version by ittybitty on Ravelry, and it is still one of my favorites.

Check out all of the other fabulous projects HERE.

Photoshoot

Last weekend we shot the photos for my upcoming book at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
What a perfect location. Lush, green, and gorgeous!

Seeing the finished photos makes me even more excited for this book release, and I thought I'd share a little sneak peek with all of you.

I can't wait until it is all finished! :) Hopefully soon!

Monarch Knitting

Last weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Monarch Knitting for a book signing and workshop.
A beautiful store in the beautiful coastal town of Pacific Grove.

It isn't often that I am able to do events at local yarn shops, but when I do I always have fun.
This trip was no exception!

I was so happy to see Never Not Knitting books, patterns, and samples prominently displayed around the store.

The owner, Ann, and the rest of the Monarch Knitting staff was incredibly welcoming and wonderful.
And the workshop was so much fun. I met so many amazing and supportive knitters!

I also did some shopping while I was there.. of course.. and these gorgeous buttons had to be bought! They beautiful leafy pattern works perfectly with a sweater sample for the new book.

What an amazing experience! I can't wait to visit again. Thank you Monarch Knitting!

Skeinettes

While I was recently visiting the yarn shop Loop, during my recent visit to Philadelphia, I picked up these adorable tiny skeins of Koigu fingering weight yarn called "skeinettes".

The owner of the shop, Craig, assured me that they are the perfect amount of yardage for a single hexipuff.

And so they were. :)

I am slowly but surely adding to my beloved Beekeepers Quilt. I am so happy to have these "skeinettes" from Philadelphia included in the mix. I so enjoyed my time on the east coast and I know that whenever I see these little puffs in my finished blanket, I will remember that trip.

Into the bag they go with the rest of their friends! :)

More Updates

Wow.. It's 2014 already?

The past few months have been a whirlwind of changes in both my personal and business life, but one thing remains constant. I am STILL working on my designs for Botanical Knits 2.

I know. I know. I am sure you are so sick of hearing about this "upcoming" book. But I promise. I'm nearly done and am planning on releasing it in the next few months.

I'm working on the final samples today.

An orange sweater out of Sunshine Yarns Merino Sport with lovely Autumn Leaf lace insets.

Now to finish up that seaming!

I just received back in the mail these tiny cozy mitts from a test knitter out of Brooklyn Tweed Loft which I am quite in love with.

These mitts have a similar "Twigs and Willows" stitch pattern from my sweater in the first book. These are a great option for knitters who want to try out the stitches, but don't want to make a whole sweater!

AND... I'm working on THIS again. And No. I don't want to talk about it. :)

Almost there!

Learning To Knit With Annie

Ever since we published Annie and the Swiss Cheese Scarf more than a year ago now, I have so enjoyed seeing pictures of little ones enjoying the book pop up different places on the internet.

I have been touched by the wonderful emails and comments left by parents, teachers, and grandparents, and the reports of children learning to knit from all over the world.
